Our gapped lamination power inductors are designed and made with laminated cores. The inductor's core consists of stack of thin steel sheets or laminations oriented parallel to the field, with an insulating coating on the surface. This type of gapped lamination power inductor's laminations are made of low-conductivity silicon steel to further reduce eddy current losses.
